Bright
and cheery, "Dad's Place" was a happy home to my father, his 2 cats and his dog,
"Nacho," from 1988 to 2004, when he passed on at age
92. My dad was a retired Boston and Maine Railroad man, as well
as a photographer for
many Boston-area fire departments. He was also a Civil War buff and
an ardent Mason Lodge member, as well as a wonderful father! We named this charming and
comfortable guest lodging in his
memory.
"Dad's Place" is bright and light, cheery and cozy. It
is located
upstairs, over the farm library and laundry facilities, where
one can find a comfortable bedroom with double bed, full bath, kitchen/living room with
Direct TV and wireless internet access. "Dad's Place" provides a
very safe and
comfortable retreat for the single woman traveler.
A new, very efficient propane gas furnace keeps our visitors
warm in winter, and the abundance of large windows open to
provide a light summer breeze.
